Rise Against Child Sexual Harm & Abuse
We have teachers, activists, lawyers, doctors, psychologists, social workers, special educators and corporates in our team. The network was formed in 2016.
A world where children are safe from sexual harm and abuse.
A network of partnerships and collaborations working for the prevention and healing of victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and incest.
RACSHA is a network of individuals and organisations working for the prevention, recognition, addressing and healing of victims and survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) & Incest.
Objectives
RACSHA’s Key Objectives
- Create awareness on child protection including CSA with communities, schools and colleges.
- Enhance skills of caregivers and professionals for preventing and, as needed, supporting child victims of CSA and contribute to accessible and quality services (for child and adult victims and survivors).
- Collaborate to share, document and disseminate good practices and other resources on CSA and encourage their adoption in existing systems.
- Support and mentor survivors who can, gradually, become a part of the network and lead processes of change.
- Grow as a group that mobilises and advocates on issues related to CSA and contributes to strengthening systems.

Aar noi….Not Anymore
RACSHA and Way to Sunshine members organised an online webinar called,’ Aar noi….Not Anymore’ to have conversations on ragging, bullying, abuse and ways of redressal within educational institutions mainly.
Organised a Consultation with all stakeholders
On 24th June this year, SCPCR and RACSHA collaborated to organise a Consultation with all stakeholders to discuss few challenges and suggest ways to add few riders/ bring about few amendments to the POCSO Act.
A workshop on skill building
On 10th November, RACSHA organised a workshop on skill building for caregivers, frontline workers of traumatised children. This was called, ‘ Helping Children’. This workshop registered 80 participants in all. The Resource Persons were-Dr. Jai Ranjan Ram, Dr. Manisha Bhattacharya and Ms Sayani Basak.
Daily Diaries of Stifled Voices
On 1st October, the online event, ‘Daily Diaries of Stifled Voices’, was organized focusing on understanding CSA and complexities in gender non-conforming children and transgender adults. Guest speakers: Dr. Sanjay Garg (Psychiatrist) ,Ankan Biswas, Avinaba Dutta, Anuraag Maitree Sudeb Suvana.
